part of setting up your tempo team is integrating them into the JIRA projects and issues on which they'll be working in this lesson you'll see how to add your tempo team to JIRA issues to do this the team must first be linked to the JIRA project which was covered in the previous lesson before we get started it's important to note that adding your team's name to JIRA issues doesn't assign those issues to the team but it does make your team available in JIRA searches and queries such as when creating filters for your team's agile boards and backlog to add your team to cheer issues your JIRA administrator will first need to add the tempo team custom field to your JIRA issues screens in the JIRA settings the administrator can find issues and fields where they then select custom fields on this page they need to find the tempo team custom field they click the more menu to the right and select screens from the drop-down they check the boxes for the appropriate screens of all the JIRA projects that contain the issues for your tempo team and click update at the bottom to save these changes now you can add your tempo team to the JIRA issues in one of your gr projects open an issue for a team member you should see the team field when you scroll down select your team's name from the list and now it's linked to this issue next time your team members log time on their issues with tempo timesheets the hours they've worked will appear when you run JIRA queries and create team backlogs and boards if you've done all these steps your tempo team is now fully integrated with their JIRA projects and issues you're all set up for your team and their log time to be visible in JIRA and tempo want to find out how your team's time is being spent check out the next lesson about the tempo team timesheet
