Getting Started
Once the app is installed it’s ready to use and there is no complicated setup process required.
There are two options for approvals in Gears Approvals for Confluence. Submit an entire page, or a section within a page. For the purpose of this example, we will demonstrate the main functionality.
After installation, Gears Approvals is active across all Confluence pages.
Page Approval
Click this button and the administrator can add approvers to complete the creation of the approval. The page status is now pending approval.
Only users assigned administrative rights can modify the settings.
When all approvers have approved, this status is approved. At this time, you can see the update time of the approval status.
Section Approval
Open the Confluence editor (shortcut: E), select page section that need to be approved, type '/' as shown in the figure below, select the macro.
Then you can edit the configuration macro. Add it to the page and click “Publish”.
Configure your Approval Settings
The function of whether to enable page approval in the current space can be controlled, as well as the related permission settings for personnel and pages, the settings of the approval team, and the display of status aliases.
Approval can only be setup by a Space Admin.
