In this section, we’ll cover all the configuration settings in Gears Approval for Confluence from an administrator’s perspective.

Note

Page Approval Permissions can only be configured by a Space Admin.

First we go to the settings page.

Here is the configuration interface, and I will explain the function of each configuration in turn.

Area A:

After closing, the pages within the space will no longer display the page approval status.

Area B:

The Space Admin can configure which users can create or edit approvals within Confluence pages.

  1. Under Permissions, click on groups and enter the group(s) you would like to give the permission to create and edit approvals.

  2. Once complete, only users belonging to those groups have the ability to add or update page approvals.
